Mia designs computer games and is a heroine for young gamers everywhere, but she has trouble meeting men. Gavin hasn't invested in a new relationship since his failed marriage ended. The two have enlisted the services of Madame Eve, a matchmaker, to bring them together for a night of mutual pleasure.A note about my review: I'm an analytical person and I don't typically read these short stories because I need more things answered than an author/publisher wants to do in a short story. Keep that in mind when reading my review.
Taking this story for what it is, this was cute. Honestly though, I wanted to know more about what would happen with Mia and Gavin once their one night stand was over. The ending is appropriate given that the two only had a single night together, but a bit more promise of happily ever after would have made me happier.
The book is part of a series. I purchased the book (with no plans to purchase all the other stories) because the heroine is plus-sized and I felt as if I was missing some background information. The story describes Madame Eve as a matchmaker of sorts, but it sounded as if the service just facilitates one night stands for people who might be compatible if they actually have a conversation between the bumping and grinding. The two characters had no depth aside from Mia being a klutzy, reserved game designer and Gavin being a horny-for-curvy-chicks single father. No size is given for Mia, which is relatively common because it allows the reader to imagine the heroine to be whatever size they'd like, but Mia had no body issues. That part is not realistic, especially since the product description indicates that she has trouble with men in person. Given the shortness of the story, I'd rather read about Gavin worshiping her curves than her self-conscious inner monologue, but this was another area in which I would have liked more development.
There were a few grammar issues but not enough to detract from the pace or readability of the story. The story is about a hour-long read, so it definitely could have been longer for the cost. For me, this was probably a 3 to 3.5, but if I take it for what it is offered as (a short story about a curvy girl's one night stand), it's a 4.

I honestly don’t think I have ever read a bad 1 Night Stand. Nope, I’m pretty sure I haven’t. Decadent Publishing hit the nail on the head when thought up this series. Short stories are hard to write as it is. How do you tuck days, weeks, or months into a large handful of words and have a great story? It’s really hard to do. Great fix, use the small number count to write about twelve hours. Problem solved!
Yes, the concept of a one night stand may give some people the squirmies, but trust me, they are not dirty (unless the participants want it that way ). With Madame Eve’s service, they’re nights of destiny not your average one night stand.
Mia and Gavin are two lonely people who agree that life has passed them by and it’s time to have at least a night of fun. They are both busy people, but trust the services of Madame Eve. Unknown to them they have met very briefly before. The meeting was fleeting, but it left them both wanting more.
Strawberry Kisses is a wonderful read; quick and hot, sweet and sexy. Ms. Eastwick did a great job and I’m so very happy for this deserving couple. They are so darn cute together. As I was reading, I was swept away by their instant attraction and passion.

Madame Eve has done it again. Although short in length as all 1NS stories are, Strawberry Kisses does not disappoint. Mia was endearingly clumsy and Gavin dashing and handsome. These two characters deserved each other. An accidental meeting sets off a series of wants and desires for both characters that luckily works out in their benefit thanks to Madame Eve.
Although the concept is for the parties involved to spent 1 night together and hopefully make a connection, anyone familiar with the series knows that Madame Eve is never wrong in her matches. Mia and Gavin are likeable characters. Far from explosive at first site, their first accidental meeting and everything that led up to their date was sweet in a way that not many short romances are. Rather than rush in to the sex, Eastwick takes the time to build some intimacy between the characters and the story is so much better for it.
I am a great fan of the 1NS series and have discovered quite a few new authors due to this series. Dominique Eastwick has just become the latest addition to my list of authors to follow. This short and incredibly sweet romance is a great addition to the 1NS series and I can’t wait to read more by this author.

I loved any story where a geeky gal gets her guy. This one was a sweet, short read and I gobbled it up in a little under an hour. Eastwick has a sensual way with words and does a delightful job of bringing two people so used to hurting together... with a little help from Madame Eve of course. )
Recommend this one to any searching for a quick, sensual read and to those who enjoy food play with their pleasure.
Dominique Eastwick's Strawberry Kisses has one of those scenes that's just never long enough in most books. It's the scene where the guy and the girl get together and their meeting ends in a paragraph or a few paragraphs later. When Mia and Gavin get together in Strawberry Kisses, however, that meeting is drawn out and described in depth, in a way that's not overdone or boring. And it's because in this short story, the couple's evening together is the main part. It's sexy and steamy. Mia and Gavin's chemistry totally works.
